The Newry Clinic Team
The Newry Clinic Physiotherapy Team is comprised of three registered Chartered Physiotherapists, who specialize in various departments of physiotherapy.
Frank Quinn MCSP SRP ACPSM OCPHE
Qualified June 2000 from University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Extensive Medicolegal experience with companies such as Nike, Caterpillar, Rolls Royce, Black and Decker and the Northumbria Police Force. Three years experience as First Team physio for Sunderland Football Club. Physiotherapist for Down GAA Senior Football Team 2005-2009. He is a clinical specialist in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy with extensive Musculoskeletal training to Masters Level including, Acupuncture, Spinal Manipulation, Core Stability, Pilates, and Injury Rehabilitation.
Kieran Murray MCSP SRP AACP OCPPP
Qualified June 2000 from University of Ulster, Jordanstown. He worked for private Physiotherapy company – Connect PHC - supplying physiotherapy and ergonomic services in large occupational health sites such as Nike, Caterpillar. Was head Physiotherapist for Gateshead Thunder Rugby League Club and Physiotherapist to the All Ireland winning Down Minor Footballers 2005. Down Senior Footballer Physiotherapist from 2005-2009. He is a clinical specialist in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy with extensive Musculoskeletal training to Masters Level including, Acupuncture, Spinal Manipulation, Core Stability, Pilates, and Injury Rehabilitation.
Stephen Brannigan MCSP SRP MSOM
Also qualified June 2000 from University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Was Employed by Birmingham City Football Club 2001-2006 as First Team Physiotherapist. Became partner with The Newry Clinic in 2006. Down Senior Footballer Physiotherapist from 2006-2009. He is a clinical specialist in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy with extensive Musculoskeletal training to Masters Level including, Soft Tissue Massage Techniques, Spinal Manipulation, Orthopaedic Medicine, Injection Therapy, Injury Rehabilitation and Strength and Conditioning.
Niamh Murphy MCSP SRP
Qualified June 2004 from University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Following this worked in Australia for 1 year. Since then she has completed extensive post-grad training in soft tissue techniques, Joint Mobilization techniques (Maitland, Cyriax, Mulligan) Orthopaedic Medicine, Pilates, Sports Rehabilitation, Nerve Pain and Kinesotaping. Physiotherapist for Down Ladies GAA Football Team 2008-2009. Physiotherapist to Down Minor Footballers 2007.
